This journey through Georgia opens up the country in all its diversity — from the Black Sea coast to the high-mountain regions of the Caucasus. The route brings together nature, history and the atmosphere of Georgian culture.
The road passes through mountain passes, ancient towns and small villages where the traditional way of life is still felt. The journey is made up not only of beautiful places but also of meetings with people, conversations, the tastes of Georgian cuisine and that very atmosphere of hospitality people come back for.
• The trip lasts 8 days and 7 nights
• Start is possible from Batumi or Kutaisi
Meeting guests at Batumi airport and transfer to the hotel. After check-in and a short rest, an evening walking tour of the city begins. This is your first acquaintance with Batumi and its main sights: the Black Sea promenade, the old town, squares, architecture and the lights of the evening resort.
The first half of the day is free. You can spend time by the sea, relax on the beach or take a quiet walk around Batumi.
In the second half of the day we set off for mountainous Adjara. Here you feel a calm rhythm of life, very different from the resort of Batumi. Along the way the guide shares stories of the region, telling about traditions and the life of local families. The trip passes amid mountain scenery and introduces the true Adjaran character, and also includes a tasting of 10 varieties of Georgian wine.
Today we leave Batumi for Svaneti, one of the most impressive mountain regions of Georgia. Along the way views of mountains, rivers and gorges open up, and stops at beautiful points let you take in this journey.
By the evening we arrive in Mestia. We walk among the Svan towers and visit a traditional Svan house-museum, where you can see how people lived in these mountains for centuries and how their everyday life was arranged. We climb to a viewpoint with swings, from which panoramic views of the Svan mountains open up.
On the fourth day we set off for the high-mountain village of Ushguli, one of the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe. The road runs among the Caucasus mountain ridges, with views of snowy peaks opening up along the way.
In Ushguli we walk among the ancient Svan towers and enjoy the atmosphere of this unique place. Nearby rises Mount Shkhara, 5201 metres high — the highest peak of Georgia — creating one of the most impressive landscapes of the whole trip. After the walk we set off for Kutaisi over the Zagaro Pass, where the road runs among high-mountain panoramas.
Today we continue the journey and travel from Kutaisi to Borjomi. This day connects ancient monasteries, nature and one of Georgia's most famous resorts.
In Borjomi we stroll through the green park, taste mineral water from the spring and climb up to the thermal pools. In the evening we arrive in Akhaltsikhe and end the day with a walk around Rabati Castle lit up in the evening.
Today we return to Batumi over the Goderdzi Pass. The road runs among mountains, forests and alpine landscapes considered some of the most beautiful in Georgia.
Along the way we stop at an old monastery, a mountain lake and natural locations. The day passes amid mountain nature and gradually brings us back to the Black Sea coast.
A free day in Batumi. You can spend time by the sea, stroll along the promenade, sit in a café in the old town, drop by the Boni market for Georgian sweets, spices and tea, or simply relax after the busy days.
Everyone spends this day at their own pace, enjoying the atmosphere of the seaside resort town on the Black Sea.
For those planning to fly out from Tbilisi, a first-class Batumi–Tbilisi train is arranged. On arrival in Tbilisi — transfer to the hotel and free time in Tbilisi.
Breakfast at the hotel and free time before departure. Transfer to the airport and the end of the journey through Georgia.
We say goodbye to our guests and hope that this trip will stay in your memory with beautiful views, the atmosphere of Georgian hospitality and warm moments you will want to relive.
