The Green Lake is one of the highest-altitude routes in Adjara, crossing the Goderdzi Pass and climbing to alpine meadows above 2,000 metres.
The journey gradually moves from the forest zone into the highlands, where the air, landscape and the very atmosphere of the road change. In a single day the route passes through several natural zones, and with each ascent broader mountain panoramas open up.
The final destination is the Green Lake — a tranquil high-altitude spot among alpine meadows. Here a picnic with Georgian refreshments takes place, with time to rest by the water while surrounded by mountains, fresh air and silence.
