This route runs through historic cities and is built around the country's cultural and architectural heritage. During the trip a certified guide shares history and key events, helping you understand the country and its development more deeply.
The programme includes monasteries, temples and cave complexes, where architecture of different eras has been preserved and the connection with how the country's history was shaped is tangible. Finishing by the sea in Batumi gives a chance to calmly take in the impressions after an intensive route.
• The trip lasts 8 days and 7 nights
• Start from Tbilisi
Meeting guests at Tbilisi airport and transfer to the hotel. After check-in and a short rest, an evening walking tour of the city begins. This is your first acquaintance with Tbilisi and its main sights.
The day passes through Georgia's key historical sites and gives a deeper understanding of the country. Here begins the acquaintance with its ancient history: from the first Christian shrines to cave cities carved into the rocks more than 3000 years ago. The route gradually leads away from the capital towards calmer natural regions.
The day passes at a calmer pace and combines history and nature. In the morning we visit Rabati Fortress — one of the region's most significant historical sites. Then the route heads into the green part of Georgia, where among forests and mountains you can not only see Borjomi but also taste mineral water straight from the spring and bathe in thermal waters.
The day passes among the natural locations of Kutaisi and gives some of the strongest visual impressions of the whole trip. First we visit the Prometheus Cave with its huge halls, stalactites and stalagmites, where a feeling of an underground world is created.
In the middle of the day, lunch at a Georgian family café with barbecue — an important part of the route, where the true atmosphere and taste of Georgian cuisine are felt. Then a walk along the Okatse Canyon with its suspended trail and panoramic views over the gorge.
The day connects nature, the road and a gradual transition to the sea. Along the way green locations, canyons and a warmer climate open up, and the route itself becomes easier and more relaxed.
The main point of the day is the Martvili Canyon with its turquoise water and a walk through the gorge. Then thermal springs, swimming in the river (in season) and a stop at the magnetic Ureki beach, after which we arrive in Batumi.
The first half of the day is free. You can spend time by the sea, relax on the beach or take a quiet walk around Batumi.
In the second half of the day we set off for mountainous Adjara. Here you feel a calm rhythm of life, very different from the resort of Batumi. Along the way the guide shares stories of the region, telling about traditions and the life of local families. The trip passes amid mountain scenery and introduces the true Adjaran character.
A free day in Batumi. You can spend time by the sea, stroll along the promenade, sit in a café in the old town, drop by the Boni market for Georgian sweets, spices and tea, or simply relax after the busy days.
Everyone spends this day at their own pace, enjoying the atmosphere of the seaside resort town on the Black Sea.
For those planning to fly out from Tbilisi, a first-class Batumi–Tbilisi train is arranged. On arrival in Tbilisi — transfer to the hotel and free time in Tbilisi.
Breakfast at the hotel and free time before departure. Transfer to the airport and the end of the journey through Georgia.
We say goodbye to our guests and hope that this trip will stay in your memory with beautiful views, the atmosphere of Georgian hospitality and warm moments you will want to relive.
