Racha is a mountain region where nature, silence and the winemaking tradition create the special character of the place. In two days the route reveals Racha through gorges, waterfalls, ancient monasteries, mountain roads and the village of Khvanchkara — one of the region's most famous winemaking villages.
A visit to a family cellar in Khvanchkara becomes one of the most atmospheric parts of the trip. Here wine is kept in clay qvevri underground and opened in front of guests, preserving the traditional method of production. This is not just a tasting but an acquaintance with the living wine culture of Racha.
The route combines views, altitude, history and taste. Lailashi, the Gvirishi Waterfall, the Sairme Pillars, Nikortsminda, Shaori and the Nine Crosses mountain come together into a rich journey, memorable not only for its landscapes but also for the people living among these mountains.
