Borjomi is known for its mineral water and natural thermal springs. In the central park you can taste the water straight from the spring and follow a forest trail to open-air pools of warm mineral water amid the coniferous forest.
The journey continues through Akhaltsikhe with an evening walk around Rabati Castle. The way back passes over the Goderdzi Pass with alpine landscapes, waterfalls and mountain gorges, and along the way the guide tells the stories of these places.
On the first day we set off from Batumi to Borjomi — Georgia's famous resort region. The walk goes through the central park amid coniferous forests, where you can taste Borjomi water straight from the natural spring. Along a forest trail we reach open-air pools of warm mineral water and bathe in the thermal springs amid mountain nature.
After Borjomi we set off for Akhaltsikhe. In the evening we walk around Rabati Castle — a historic fortress that combines architecture of different eras.
The second day passes through the mountain landscapes of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Adjara. The road runs through the Zarzma Monastery and the Goderdzi Pass, where alpine landscapes and wide mountain panoramas open up. Along the way we stop at natural sights and head to the high-mountain Green Lake, where we have a picnic amid mountain scenery.
